In 2021 I decided to switch up my art practice by learning to screen print. I’d always been a bit nervous about print – I did lino printing at school and decided I had no natural aptitude for the subject. Fast forward back to now and I was getting bored of working in the same ways so it was time for something new. Turns out I like printing after all! This is the first CMYK halftone print I did (see Trust the Process for more info on this) – it was a bit of a white knuckle ride but it got me started.

This image is deceptive. It started as a photo of some dying flowers that my mum got me in a jug I made a while ago that I didn’t know what to do with and have subsequently thrown away. The text got added in photoshop later. These prints all came out a bit whacky so there are different tonal values throughout the prints in this series. They are initialed but not numbered because they are all individual.
